Akvilė Noir

Sleek. Strong. Soaring. Akvilė Noir is the tango heel for the dancer who takes flight. Akvilė is Lithuanian for “eagle,” and this shoe began as a custom order for a dancer who lives up to her name: Akvilė of @akvile.tango.fit. Mirror-black patent leather opens at the toe and along the sides, then rises into a closed heel that holds the foot firmly. A long, slim strap wraps the ankle again and again before it fastens at a gunmetal buckle set with a single rhinestone: one bright point against all that black.

A shoe strong enough to keep up with Akvilė will surely keep up with you. The wrap strap sets the hold exactly where you want it, and the slender stiletto lifts you into long, clean lines through every ocho, boleo, and pause. Your choice of sole lets you dial in exactly the right feel for the floor you're dancing on.

Every Mono shoe can be made with one of three sole materials. Choose the one that matches the floors you dance on and the way you like to move.

🧵 Suede — Softest · Most Grip
The softest of the three. Suede gives the most friction on the floor — ideal for dancers who want to feel anchored through every pivot.

🤾 Medium Leather — Balanced · Cushioned
Additional padding underfoot with a balanced grip on the floor. The middle path: comfort and control in equal measure.

💪 Hard Leather — Glide · Structure
The most glide and the most structure for the foot. For dancers who want their shoe to slide through a turn and support every step.
