Design a Tango Shoe That's Made for You

Every pair of Mono tango shoes starts as a blank page. Whether you want to recreate a design from our collection in your own colors, combine details from a few different styles, or bring us something we haven't made yet, our custom orders are built around your vision — and your feet.

What You Can Customize

Nearly everything on a Mono shoe is yours to decide:

Size & fit — women's heels run 34–41, booties 35–41, and boots and men's shoes 35–47, all including half sizes, in Narrow, Regular, Wide, or Extra Wide. Beyond your measurements, feel free to add notes about anything specific to your fit — like a longer strap for a wider ankle, or a smaller heel cage and tighter heel straps for extra security through a turn.
Heel height — anywhere from 5–10 cm, so you can dial in the elevation that suits how and how long you dance.
Sole material — Suede, Medium Leather, or Hard Leather, each with a different feel underfoot. See our FAQ for a full breakdown of grip, glide, and structure — or if you're not sure which to pick, just tell us whether you'd rather have a softer, more accommodating feel or a sturdier, more structured one, and we'll help you land on the right material.
Color, print, and finish — from metallics and glitter to leather, satin, and snakeskin, drawing on the same materials used throughout our collection. For more inspiration, browse the materials and combinations we've made on Instagram @monomytangoshoes.

How It Works

Tell us what you have in mind below — a link or photo of a style you love, a color palette, or just a general idea — along with your foot measurements. We'll follow up to confirm the details, then your pair is handmade to order in our Timișoara, Romania atelier. You can read more about how Mono is made on our About page.

How to Take Your Measurements

For heels, remove socks. For leader's shoes, wear the typical socks you use for dancing. Trace each foot on a piece of paper using a sharpie marker or something of similar thickness. Make sure you have plenty of weight on the foot to achieve accurate measurements. Keep marker always perpendicularto the page.

Foot Length: Measure the longest length from the tip of your longest toe (usually the first or second toe) to the middle of the edge of your heel.

Metatarsal Circumference (Width): Measure the circumference of the widest part of your foot. Be sure to include any bunion area.

Instep Circumference: Only necessary for shoes with laces — not needed for heels. Measure the circumference of your instep around the arch of the foot.
