Dominic Bridge has dedicated his life to Argentine tango.

Since beginning his tango journey in the Pacific Northwest in 2005, he has built an international career as a performer, teacher, mentor, and community builder. For more than 20 years, he has worked full-time in tango, sharing his passion for the dance in more than 30 countries across five continents.

Now based in Denver, Colorado, Dominic continues to teach, perform, organize events, and work with dancers locally and around the world. His tango career has taken him to residencies in Buenos Aires, Florence, Paris, Berlin, Budapest, Moscow, and far beyond. He has helped develop tango communities internationally, built tango schools and intensive programs, and mentored teachers and performers.

For Dominic, tango is both an art form and a social dance: a practice of connection, musicality, improvisation, awareness, and freedom of movement, rooted in a rich history of tradition. His teaching combines technical depth with creativity and a holistic understanding of the body.

As a young dancer, Dominic was dancing nearly every day. Before long, the strain caught up with him: foot pain, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis. He assumed it was simply the cost of learning to dance.

It wasn’t.

The problem was his shoes.

When Dominic discovered Mono and had a pair made to his measurements, the difference was immediate. The pain disappeared, his dancing improved, and he never looked back. More than fifteen years later, Mono remains the only tango shoe he wears.

After more than 20 years working full-time in tango as an artist, teacher, and performer, Dominic understands what a tango shoe needs to do. It must support the foot without restricting it, respond to the floor, hold up through long nights, and still look exceptional.
